In 2009 we have an exciting programme of events planned.
Ray will be holding a number of exhibitions at the Royal Gunpowder Mills.
The dates of these are as follows:
April 25th & 26th
May 2nd, 3rd & 4th; 16th & 17th; 24th, 25th & 26th.
June 13th & 14th
July 4th & 5th
August 8th & 9th; 15th & 16th; 22nd & 23rd
September 12th & 13th; 19th & 20th; 26th & 27th
We look forward to our annual visit to the Town Show on the 27th & 28th June where we once again have plans for an exciting new show.
King Harold School - 50 Years On Celebrations
We have been planning for some time a major exhibition of archive photographs and memorabilia from King Harold School to celebrate the school's 50 years on its Broomstick Hall Road site.
It is with great regret that we have decided to cancel our celebrations this year. We have decided it to be more appropriate to move the planned events to the summer of 2012, when the school can comfortably celebrate its 60 years anniversary. We shall continue to work on the book, which is already looking like a very exciting publication, and will reschedule the events planned for this year to 2012. We have been fortunate to have received a great deal of support from many local people who have had a long association with the school. Many ex-pupils and teachers have been in contact with us over the last 18 months sharing their happy memories and photographs. We thank them for this support and hope to continue to attract support for 2012.
We shall be setting up a new planning group for our 2012 events and would be pleased to hear again from anyone prepared to help.
